Sachsgrün is part of the Triebel / Vogtl municipality . in the Saxon Vogtland district .
In Sachsgrün, connecting roads from Wiedersberg and Loddenreuth , Burkhardtsgrün and Gassenreuth come together. The place is located directly on the state border with Bavaria and thus earlier on the German-German border . The town center is characterized by a village pond and the church. A manor or the moated castle Sachsgrün was also located here, and the Vasmann family was one of the owners . A memorial commemorates the classical philologist, journalist and local historian Eduard Johnson . A hiking trail leads to the Troschenreuth desert .
Sachsgrün was owned by the Lords of Streitberg in the 17th century.
