Vasmann

The von Vasmann family was a noble family from the Vogtland or Meißn region.

The family is considered to be related to the von Falkenstein and von Dorbenck families . Starting from Falkenstein , they had another headquarters with Wiedersberg Castle . They founded Fassmannsreuth . Initially in the wake of the Bailiffs of Plauen and Margraves of Meissen , they also came into the possession of fiefs of the Burgraves of Nuremberg . They were co-owners of Hartungs and were also based in Schauenstein and Sachsgrün . 1380, three family members involved on the side of Guttenberger at the Guttenberger feud , apparently because of family ties with the of Sparneck and Wolffersdorff .
