Sadaharu Yagi
Sadaharu Yagi is a Japan-born music producer , mixing engineer, and recording engineer who has received a Grammy and two Latin Grammy Awards . He has worked with well-known artists such as Shania Twain , John Mayall and Marc Anthony . Yagi lives and works in Los Angeles , California .
biography
Yagi was born in Kitakyushu (Japan) and is a graduate of Kyushu University (formerly Kyushu Institute of Design). After graduating from college, Yagi began working in the Los Angeles music industry . In 2013 he received the Latin Grammy for his work on Draco Rosa 's album Vida , which also earned him a US Grammy at the 2014 Grammy Awards. That same year he was nominated for a Grammy for his work on Sara Bareilles ' album The Blessed Unrest .
In 2019 Yagi produced the song We Are Walking On for the United Nations Environment Program and World Environment Day , which he dedicated to protecting the earth and promoting the goals for sustainable development .
Yagi was awarded a third Grammy at the Latin Grammy Awards 2019 in the category "Best Rock Album" for Draco Rosa's Monte Sagrado , which was number 1 on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart for two weeks. Yagi was nominated as producer for the animated short film Hotel de los Encuentros , which contains several tracks by Monte Sagrado .
Yagi worked on several gold and platinum projects, including Shania Twain 's album Now , which topped the US, UK, Canada and Australia charts at # 1.
Yagi is currently the Goodwill Ambassador for Kitakyushu City, Japan.
