Karsee |
The Krallersee is a small mountain lake on the Tauplitzalm in the Dead Mountains in Styria , Austria . The lake is at an altitude of 1617 m above sea level. A. in a hollow between Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel. The lake is about 160 meters long in a west-east direction with a maximum width of about 75 meters and has a water surface of 0.75 hectares. The depth is 10 m with up to 30 cm of mud on the bottom. On the banks there are extensive silting and moor areas with the beaked sedge . In the lake there is a scattered pondweed andLong-leaved pondweed . The filamentous pondweed only grows in shallow water in a small spot on the south bank in the immediate vicinity of the ski lift support. The few individuals are likely to be the last occurrence in all of Styria and one of the last in all of Austria. Hair-leaved water crowfoot and candelabrum algae are scattered.
