The Märchensee , also Koawassersee , is a small mountain lake on the Tauplitzalm in the Dead Mountains in Styria , Austria . The lake is at an altitude of 1567 m above sea level. A. embedded in a hollow north of the large lake . With a water surface of 0.15 hectares, it is the smallest lake on the Tauplitz high plateau . The lake has a length of about 60 meters in a west-east direction with a maximum width of about 26 meters. Near the bank, especially on the less disturbed northeast bank, Berchtold's dwarf pondweed , long-leaved pondweed and hair-leaved water crowfoot grow scattered .
