A. in a hollow surrounded by alpine pastures. With a water surface of 0.4 hectares, it is the second smallest lake on the Tauplitz high plateau . The lake is about 80 meters long in a west-east direction with a maximum width of about 60 meters. In summer, pasture is used right up to the banks and in winter, the area is used for skiing. On the east to south banks there is swinging lawn with beaked sedge and swamp blood-eye . The use of pastures causes eutrophication of the water and in some years thick, area-covering mats of thread algae appear in the lake.
