Karsee

The Dreibrüdersee is a mountain lake in the Dead Mountains in Styria , Austria .

The lake is 1643  m above sea level. A. Sea level in a cirque east below the Dreibrüderkogel ( 1923  m , 1924  m & 1923  m ), from which its name is derived, and west of the salt furnace ( 2070  m ). The lake is fed by underground tributaries and has a length of about 100 meters in a west-east direction with a maximum width of about 120 meters. About one kilometer south is the larger Vordere Lahngangsee . The Dreibrüdersee is a (superficial) drainless trough lake and, like the Elmsee, probably drains underground into the Lahngangseen and from there in turn underground via Vorderbach and Hinterbach into the Toplitzsee .
