The Lawinenstein also Lowea (h) n is 1965 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Dead Mountains in Styria on the western edge of the Tauplitzalm . The mountain drops steeply to the north and west into the valley of the Salzabach . The eastern flank slopes down to the Tauplitzalm. There is a summit cross at the summit . In winter, the Lawinenstein can be reached with a chair lift. There is a ski slope in the southern flank. The name is a corruption of the very old, perhaps pre-Slavic name Loweahn, as this mountain is still called by the locals today.
