Juice porling

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The division of living beings into systematics is a continuous subject of research. Different systematic classifications exist side by side and one after the other. The taxon treated here has become obsolete due to new research or is not part of the group systematics presented in the German-language Wikipedia.

In earlier times the sap porlings were a single genus of fungi that united species with porous and particularly juicy, soft-fleshed fruit bodies . They have now been split into several genera based on phylogenetic findings .

relationship

The Postia - Oligoporus complex has been studied since 2003 by a group of mycologists from the Botanical Museum of the University of Helsinki in Finland (Macro and Microscopic Studies) and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden (Molecular Phylogeny). Dmitry Schigel, Tuomo Niemelä, Karl-Henrik Larsson and Ellen Larsson created a poster for the 8th International Mycological Congress in August 2006 with the title “Phylogeny of the Postia - Oligoporus complex of poroid basidiomycetes” and summarized the status of their research there.

According to this, the Postia-Oligoporus complex belongs to the comb mushroom relationship (phlebioid clade) of the mushroom , which includes both species with porling and bark-like fruiting bodies. The cladogram shown on the poster shows that the complex is monophyletic but heterogeneous. The examined species thus belong to the same family branch, but can differ significantly in their characteristics.

A study by Chinese mycologists published in 2018 separated several other genera based on the different characteristics of the species and their relationship to one another.

Systematics

A distinction is made between the following genera:

Outside the center, several independent groups of species have been identified, including

  • those to the brown rot tramets - Antrodia P. Karst. - Counting group around Postia mappa (Overh. & J. Lowe) MJ Larsen & Lombard as well as the two small genres
  • Rhodonia Niemelä with the pink juice sprout - R. placenta (Fr.) Niemelä, KH Larss. & Schigel - and
  • Spongiporus Murrill with the slit- pore juice spore - S. undosus (Peck) A. David .
