Sagada is a municipality in the Province of Mountain Province, Philippines .

The city is located in a small valley at an altitude of about 1600 m. It has 11,127 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) and an area of ​​83.3 km². In 1995 95% of the population belonged to the Kankana-ey tribe, who belong to the Igorot .

economy

Attractions

"Hanging Coffins" by Sagada

Sagada is known for so-called " hanging coffins ", a traditional form of burial. Residents who are at least in the 3rd generation from Sagada will z.
