Sai Samhitha Chamarthi (born January 17, 1995 ) is an Indian tennis player .

Career

Chamarthi, who started playing tennis at the age of eight, prefers hard courts according to the ITF profile. She mostly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has already won a title in doubles.

She played her first professional tournament in May 2011 in Hyderabad . In 2014 she reached the semi-finals in Hyderabad and New Delhi with her doubles partner Fetee Maheta , and the semi-finals in Sharm el-Sheikh with Ina Kaufinger . In 2015 she reached the final in the women's singles of the US $ 10,000 tournament in Hyderabad, which she lost to Snehadevi Reddy 6: 7, 4 and 5: 7. In June 2016 she and her partner won the first doubles title in Sharm Asch-Sheikh.
