Said Gilani (born February 5, 1996 ) is an Afghan sprinter and hurdler who previously trained as a successful decathlete and won several North German titles. He lives in Germany and trains at SV Werder Bremen.

Athletic career

Said Gilani gained his first international experience in 2017 at the World Championships in London , where he took part in the 100-meter run thanks to a wildcard and was eliminated there with 11.13 seconds in the pre-qualifying round. Two years later he was nominated by the Afghan Association for the World Championships in Doha and was eliminated there with 11.45 s in the pre-qualifying round .
