Konstantina Koliou is a diplomat from Greece . She is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of her home country to Singapore , East Timor and Brunei .

Career

From 1975 to 1979 Koliou was at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens , where she received a Bachelor of Laws in Political Science and Government Affairs . In 1983 Koliou started working for the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Department of Economic Relations with Western European Countries. In 1986 she moved to the department for economic relations with the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union . 1990 Koliou Deputy Permanent Representative of Greece to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP) in Rome ( Italy ). As Consul General of Greece, she then went to Rio de Janeiro ( Brazil ) in 1995 , before Koliou returned to the Foreign Ministry in Athens in 2000 , as Director of the Secretary General's diplomatic cabinet for Greeks abroad. In 2001 Koliou became Head of the United Nations Division in the International Organizations Department. In 2003 she was appointed Deputy Head of Mission at the Greek Embassy in Beijing ( People's Republic of China ).

In August 2005, Koliou was assigned to the International Secretariat of NATO in Brussels ( Belgium ) as a senior officer in the Defense Policy Planning department. From August 2007 to January 2012 she was Consul General of Greece in Hong Kong and from January 2012 to February 2015 she was the Greek Ambassador to the Philippines . After a further period of service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens as General Director for Personnel, Administrative Organization and Financial Administration, Koliou was appointed Greek Ambassador to Singapore, with a second accreditation for East Timor and Brunei. She presented her accreditation for Singapore to President Halimah Yacob on March 29, 2018 . On April 30, 2019, the accreditation for Brunei to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah followed in Bandar Seri Begawan.Finally, Koliou handed over her accreditation for East Timor to President Francisco Guterres in the East Timor’s presidential palace in Dili .

Koliou has been Grand Commander of the Order of the Phoenix since 2012 . She speaks six languages ​​fluently.
