Saihou Gassama (born December 11, 1993 in Banjul ) is a Gambian football player on the position of midfielder . He currently plays in the Real Zaragoza reserve team .
Career
society
Gassama played in Gambia for Gambia Ports Authority FC before joining the youth team of Spanish first division Real Saragossa in 2010 and being promoted to the reserve team (Real Saragossa B) for the 2010/11 season. In order to gain match practice, he was first loaned to the fourth division club RSD Santa Isabel and scored four goals for the team during the season, but this could not prevent relegation to the Rechional preferent aragonesa . Then the player returned to the reserve team from Saragossa in the Segunda División B , where he has not yet received a use.
National team
Gassama took part in the U-20 African Cup of Nations in 2011 with the U-20s of Gambia . In the course of the tournament he was eliminated with his team after the group stage.
In 2012 Gassama made his debut in the Gambian national soccer team , scoring his first international goal in a 4-1 defeat against Algeria in the qualifying for the 2013 African Cup .
