The Sail Beck is a river in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Sail Beck arises on the southern flank of the Sail Fell and flows in a south-westerly direction through a valley bordered by Whiteless Pike and Wandope in the north and Knott Rigg in the south.
The Sail Beck is called Mill Beck in its lower reaches and flows under this name through Buttermere . To the northwest of Buttermere the river flows into Lake Crummock Water and is one of the headwaters of the River Cocker .
