Sailele Tuilaʻepa Malielegaoi (born April 14, 1945 ) is Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Independent State of Samoa and chairman of the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPR) , which has ruled since 1988 and follows a moderately conservative line. He took office on November 24, 1998; He was re-elected in 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016.

He is an economist and the first Samoan to graduate with a degree . Before taking office, he worked for the European Economic Community and Coopers & Lybrand and was elected to the Samoan Parliament in 1980.

Its correct full name is officially (2007) Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi or Tuilaʻepa Lupesoliai Sailele Malielegaoi.
