Novel and manga

Izumi Shimizu adapted the game to Roman, which was published by Paradigm. The first volume ( ISBN 4-89490-748-8 ) was published on July 16 and the second volume ( ISBN 4-89490-756-9 ) on September 22, 2005.

In addition, the manga Saishū Shiken Kujira: Progressive C-side , which was drawn by Wataru Usami, was published in December 2007 by Kadokawa Shoten .

Anime

The 12-part anime was produced under the direction of Nagisa Miyazaki at Studio Zexcs . Starchild Records was also responsible for the production . The music for the web series comes from the composer Yoshiki Minami . Both the opening credits Turning World and Tooi Natsuzora ( 遠 い 夏 空 ), the credits song, are by eufonius. The character design was created by Hisako Sato and the artistic direction was with Yusuke Takeda.

The episodes were shown for the first time from August 25 to November 10, 2007 on the Nico Nico Dōga platform . The web series was released on a total of two DVDs, each with six episodes, also on DVD, the first being released on December 26, 2007 and the second on January 23, 2008 in Japan. On March 26, 2008 followed with Saishū Shiken Kujira: Progressive ( 最終 試 験 く じ ら Progressive) an OVA another DVD as a sequel.
