In the zoological system, Salientia is a superordinate category within the amphibians . Among the recent representatives of this class, it exclusively includes the order of the frog auricle (Anura; for details see there), but also fossil forms such as Triadobatrachus and Czatkobątrachus . In many overviews the term is also used synonymously for or instead of Anura on the ranking.
