Salma Jahani

Salma Jahani ( Persian سلما جهانی Salma Dschahani ) (born November 27, 1952 in Kabul ) is an Afghan singer . She was the wife of the singer Rahim Jahani until his death. In the late 1970s, she recordedthree albumswith her cousin Ahmad Wali .

She is the first female singer to sing the famous Nauro song entitled bia ke borem ba Mazar . This song also made her famous overnight.

The song, which they say should be composed by the charabat master Ghulam Hossein , is not only sung on the occasion of the New Year celebrations of the Iranian cultural area. The festival is celebrated in Mazar-e Sharif , the former city of Baktra , under the title Tulip Festival in the area of ​​the Blue Mosque and at the shrine of the fourth caliph of the Prophet Mohammed for 40 days.
