Solomon ben Simon Zemach Duran
Solomon ben Simon Zemach Duran (* around 1400 in Algiers ; † 1467 there ) was a scientifically trained Halachist in North Africa.
Among other things, he defended Judaism against attacks by Gerónimo de Santa Fe in his work milchämät mitzwah ("mandatory war") and responded to his accusation of immorality with critical references to the life of the Christian clergy .
