Salvador Espinoza Aldama (born June 10, 1947 in Uruapan , Michoacán ), also known by the nickname "Chavo", is a former Mexican football player on the position of a left outer runner .

career

Espinoza began his footballing career at the age of ten with the club Atlas Guadalajara , based in the Mexican city ​​of Guadalajara , for which he first appeared in a game in the Mexican Primera División in the 1967/68 season . His playing time in that season was limited to these ten minutes against Club León and at the end of the season he was informed by his coach Ney Blanco that the club would not renew his contract. Thereupon Espinoza actually wanted to end his career, but by lucky coincidence found himself with city ​​rivals Chivas , where he soon developed into a regular player. With Chivas he was runner-up in the 1968/69 season and won the eighth championship title of the CD Guadalajara in the following season 1969/70 . He also won the cup competition and the Supercup with Chivas in the same season .

Chavo Espinoza ended his active career after the 1972/73 season at the age of just 26. But at the amateur level he continued to play until around 2000.
