Salvador Maidana , full name Salvador Maidana Vázquez , (born September 16, 1987 in Melo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.80 meter tall defensive player Maidana was part of the Cerro Largo FC squad from 2009 to mid-2011 . In the 2009/10 season he completed two games in the Primera División at the club from his hometown . This was followed by at least 12 second division appearances in the 2010/11 season. From July 2011 to early February 2012 he was in the ranks of the Montevideo- based club River Plate Montevideo . For the Clausura 2012 Maidana returned on loan to Cerro Largo FC, but was only used in a first division game with the East Uruguayans. From July 2012 he was active for the reserve team (Formativas) of River Plate Montevideo. At the beginning of September 2013, the second division Villa Teresa signed him . With the Montevideans he ran in seven meetings of the Segunda División . In early September 2014 he joined Cerro Largo FC again and played 13 second division games in Apertura 2014. In mid-January 2015, he moved within the league to Huracán Football Club . After eight second division appearances in the 2015 Clausura, in which he scored his first second division goal, he was used in the Apertura 2015 in six more games (no goal) of the second-highest Uruguayan division. From mid-January 2016 he continued his career at Deportivo Maldonado . In the 2016 Clausura, the statistics show him four personally goalless second division appearances. From the end of August 2016, he was involved in the second division club Sportivo Cerrito . In the 2016 season he played eight games (no goal) in the Segunda División.
