Salvatore Rosso

Salvatore Rosso (born March 7, 1920 in Collesano ) is an Italian film director .

Rosso began his career as an assistant director in 1947 under Pino Mercanti and carried out this activity in numerous films until 1963, including repeatedly in Pietro Germi's works. Twice he led self directed, and the results were hardly remarkable: in 1958 resulting Carosello spagnolo was virtually nowhere to be seen and a decade later turned spaghetti westerns The stranger Paso Bravo could abgewinnen the genre no new aspects. In the mid-1970s he was back in a few films, this time as a member of the production team.
