The Salzkofelhütte is a refuge of the Steinnelke section of the Austrian Alpine Club in the Kreuzeck group .
location
It is located at an altitude of 1987 m above sea level. A. on the Pusarnitzer Alm in the municipality of Sachsenburg . The local mountain and namesake of the hut is the Salzkofel , located directly to the north . The hut is at the eastern end of the Kreuzeck-Höhenweg , which usually has its first stop here.
history
The Salzkofelhütte was built in 1907 and acquired by the Steinnelke Alpine Club Section in 1921. It is one of the oldest refuges in the Alps, which has remained structurally almost unchanged.
