Samira Saïd ( Arabic سميرة سعيد Samira Sa'id , DMG Samīra Saʿīd ; * October 1, 1957 in Rabat ; Real name: Samira Bensaïd) is a Moroccan singer.

Career

Saïd was born in Rabat , where she grew up. She started her career very early. She entered 1980 for Morocco at the Eurovision Song Contest with the title Bitakat raised . Despite her penultimate place there, she quickly became a star of charqi music and also posted hit lists in Europe. She is now considered one of the most successful singing artists in the Arab world and is still celebrating great success with her publications.

She married Moustapha Naboulssi , a Moroccan businessman with whom she has a son. Today she lives in Cairo , Egypt.

Together with Cheb Mami she published the piece Youm wara youm (Habibi) ( eng . Day by day (darling) ).
