Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is a series of tablet computers from Samsung . It is the direct successor to the Galaxy Tab S series and the predecessor to the Galaxy Tab S3 series. The tablets were announced on July 20, 2015 and released in September of the same year. There is an 8.0 "and a 9.7" version. Both variants are available as a WLAN variant or WLAN + LTE variant.
Furnishing
The tablet's Super AMOLED displays have a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels with an aspect ratio of 4: 3.
An 8-core SoC from Samsung is used as the processor . This has four 1.9 GHz cores, four 1.3 GHz cores and 3 GB of RAM.
The devices are equipped with 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. This can be expanded by up to 128 GB using a microSDXC card slot.
The design is inspired by the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy A (2015) series. The camera hump on the back is already familiar from the Galaxy S6 .
In April 2016, Samsung released a slightly updated version of the Tab S2, which now has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 instead of Samsung's Exynos 5433 as a system-on-a-chip .
Both devices are available in black, white or (seasonal) in gold / beige. With a thickness of 5.6 mm, they are the thinnest tablets ever released. With a weight of 392 grams in the LTE version, the Tab S2 is one of the lightest tablets in the 10-inch class.
Sister model
The sister model Galaxy Tab S3 - a high-end tablet with pen input - was introduced on February 6, 2017 as the new flagship tablet in the Galaxy series. This is only available in the large 9.7-inch version. In contrast to the S2, it has 4 GB of RAM, four AKG speakers for stereo sound, a glass back (optionally in silver or black) and the ability to play HDR videos.
