Samuel Gottlieb Finger

Samuel Gottlieb Finger (born June 3, 1777 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 21, 1827 there ) was a German merchant, writer and politician.

Samuel Gottlieb Finger was a partner in the Lorenz Friedrich Finger Wollwaren company in Frankfurt am Main. He was married to Christiane Margarethe Eyßen. Their daughter Christiane Friederike (1812–55) married the historian Karl Friedrich Hermann in 1835 .

In 1813 he became Maire's adjunct. From 1805 he belonged to the citizens' college and after the formation of the Free City of Frankfurt until his death of the permanent citizens' representation in 1819 to 1825 he was senior of the permanent citizens' representation, i.e. parliamentary president. From 1818 to 1819 he was also a member of the Legislative Body and was Vice President there in 1818.
