Samuel Tiefensee

Samuel Tiefensee (born March 12, 1722 in Wollin in Western Pomerania ; † March 10, 1810 in Berlin ) was a German philologist , writer and schoolboy .

Life

Tiefensee was professor of philosophy, history and poetry at the Gröning Gymnasium in Stargard in Pomerania as well as the rector of the local school. He also worked as a writer. On June 13, 1758 he gave a lecture on the occasion of the 200-year jubilee of the Academic Gymnasium in Danzig , which was also celebrated by the teaching staff of the Stargarder Gymnasium. As emeritus he settled in Berlin in 1786, where he died in 1810 at the age of 88.
