Samurai Gun

Samurai Gun ( jap. サムライガン ) is a manga of Japanese mangakas Kazuhiro Kumagai , also known as anime - television series was implemented.

The work is about an underground group of samurai who armed with new weapons at the beginning of the Meiji period fighting for justice and against the corrupt shogunate .

Japan took advantage of the beginning of the Meiji period the ruling Shogun their power to suppress the citizens and ensure their dominance. The methods they chose to maintain their power included beatings, torture and even murder of innocent people.

A group of samurai who call themselves "Samurai Gun" tries to fight the shogunate with newly developed technology. One of these samurai is Ichimatsu. He works in a pub during the day while fighting in the name of the Samurai Gun at night.

The manga series by Kazuhiro Kumagai was the publisher from June 1998 Shueisha published in the magazine Young Jump and comprises seven volumes. From July 2001 a 233-page sequel appeared in the magazine Ultra Jump under the title "Samurai Gun Gekkō" ( サ ム ラ イ ガ ン 月光 ), which was also summarized in four volumes.

In 2004, the studio produced Egg directed by Hideki Sonoda , a 12-part anime - television series , which was based on the manga. The series was also supplemented by an OVA , the content of which is located between the 7th and 8th, but was not seen on television. The series was also released in English in America by ADV Films .

In February 2007, the series was released in Germany by ADV Films. From August 10th, the anime will be broadcast by Animax .

ZZ produced the title "SAMURAI CREW " for the opening credits of the series . For the credits , "Ienai Kotoba" by Aiko Kayo and "Zutto ... Issho" by Minori Chihara were used in the twelfth episode.
