San Isidro is a Filipino municipality in the Davao del Norte province .
geography
The municipality of San Isidro is located on the southern Philippine main island Mindanao in the northeast of the Davao del Norte province. It borders Kapalong to the north and west and Kapalong and Asuncion to the south . To the east is the municipality of Laak in the Davao de Oro province . The area consists of gently rolling hills and flat terrain. San Isidro is included in both climate type II and climate type IV according to the Philippine climate classification , both of which are characterized by the lack of a dry season. Climate type II is also characterized by large amounts of rain from November to January.

Population structure and development
The first settlers belonged to the ethnic groups of Dibabawon , Aetas , Mandaya and Bagobo . San Isidro has a population of 26,651 (August 1st 2015 census).
history
The Borough of San Isidro was incorporated on June 27, 2004 following the passage of Republic Act No. 9265 . It was formed from six barangays previously belonging to Asuncion and seven previously belonging to Kapalong .

The road network of the municipality consists of provincial roads, but a national road running in north-south direction is planned.
