San Luca a Via Prenestina is a titular church in the Prenestino -Labicano district of Rome .

history

It was built between 1955 and 1958 according to the plans of the architects Lucio and Vincenso Passarelli. The then auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Rome, Luigi Traglia , consecrated it on June 20, 1957.

It is the parish church of the parish founded on January 2, 1956 by a decree by Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara .

On April 29, 1969 she was by Pope Paul VI. raised to the title church. On November 4, 1979, Pope John Paul II visited the Church.
