The Sandau nunatak is a 400 m high nunatak on the Rymill coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the south of the Batterbee Mountains, it rises at the southwest end of the Steeple Peaks .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1966 to 1969. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 by Charles L. Sandau (* 1948), cooking overwintering team at Palmer Station in 1973 year.
