The Sanderburg , the smallest of the three castles in Windhoek - Luxushügel , Namibia , was built between 1917 and 1919 by the architect Wilhelm Sander (who is also the namesake) as his own residence.
The castle shows typical castle structures : twisted staircase , lead windows, battlements and a medieval look. Originally the castle consisted only of a simple house, which only became a castle after structural changes.
The Sanderburg is now privately owned.
