The Sandneshatten ( Norwegian for sand nose hat ) is a 2200 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up in the northern Conrad Mountains in the Orvinfjella .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1968 based on the name of the neighboring headland Sandneset .
