Sandra Mo and Jan Gregor were a Dresden singing duo in the field of Eastern European folklore , which had its greatest successes in the second half of the 1970s in the GDR .

Sandra Mo and Jan Gregor, who was a member of the Gerd Michaelis Choir from 1968 to 1969 , got to know each other during their studies at the Dresden University of Music and have performed together with a folklore and chanson program since 1973.

After a sponsorship contract with the Committee for Entertainment Arts , tours to the Soviet Union followed and the duo was guest of Karel Gott on Prague television. With their title If I had the choice again , they achieved their musical breakthrough in 1976. Their first LP was released in 1977 with the GDR record label Amiga and in the same year they took part in the Bratislavska Lyra hit festival. In 1985 the duo separated.

After the separation, Jan Gregor worked as a soloist. Today he lives near Antalya (Turkey). Sandra Mo also began a solo career. Since 1990 she has been singing in a duet again. Her new partner, herself a trained singer and music teacher, is her husband Valentino.

A last joint appearance by Sandra Mo and Jan Gregor took place in 1999 on the entertainment program Wiedersehen is Joy on MDR .
