Sandra Wu

Sandra Wu (born May 16, 1976 ) is a former Malaysian squash player and current trainer.

Career

Sandra Wu mainly played on the WSA World Tour in the 1990s . She was Asian junior champion in 1991, 1993 and 1995 . In 1992, 1994 and 1998 she also reached the final of the Asian Cup at professional level, but lost all games. In 1992 and 1994 she was defeated by Mah Li Lian , in 1998 she was defeated by Nicol David . With the team she won the title in 1996 and 1998. She was also a member of the national team at the 1992 World Cup and the 1998 Commonwealth Games . In singles, she was in the main draw of the World Cup in 1990 and 1992 , where she was eliminated in the first round both times.

After her playing career, she started to work as a squash trainer. From 2005 she coached the Malaysian junior national teams, in 2007 she moved to the Singapore Association and held various positions until 2016, including that of national coach for men and women. Together with Della Lee , she runs a squash academy in Singapore. Wu holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing Administration from Northumbria University .
