Sandro Bolchi

Alessandro Bolchi (born January 18, 1924 in Voghera , Province of Pavia , † August 2, 2005 in Rome ) was an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Bolchi made his debut as an actor after studying humanities in Trieste ; an occupation that he carried out throughout the 1950s. He was also the founder of the short-lived La Soffitta in Bologna and worked as a screenwriter for two feature films , and since 1956 for television. In this medium he was involved in numerous milestones until the mid-1990s, including as a director . Occasionally he also worked for the cinema; he produced two films by Mario Lanfranchi and directed the documentary L'altro sud .
