Sandro Merli

Sandro Merli (born February 4, 1931 in Rome , † February 27, 2001 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Merli gained a lot of professional experience as an actor, speaker and director in revue theater, with touring pieces, on the radio and with dubbing. From 1959 he also worked intensively in television, where he appeared in important productions such as Ottocento (by Anton Giulio Majano , 1959), La Pisana ( Giacomo Vaccari , 1960), I giacobini ( Edmo Fenoglio , 1962), Sangue sui Campi Elisi ( Alberto Bonucci , 1962), Un errore giudiziario ( Gian Paolo Callegari , 1963) and Il passo più longo ( Italo Alfaro , 1964) as well as crime series such as Le avventure di Laura Stern and Nero Wolfe appeared from the mid-1960s. The big, bulky actor was also seen in a few films, especially between 1966 and 1970. With Gigi Proietti , Merli founded the Laboratorio , an experimental theater. Merli's theater career began in 1953 and lasted forty years.
