Sandro Pertile

Sandro Pertile (* 1969 or 1970 ) is an Italian sports manager. From 2020 he is to become Walter Hofer's successor as FIS race director in the ski jumping sector .

biography

Sandro Pertile was active as a ski jumper and Nordic combined athlete until 1986.

From 1997 to 2003, Pertile worked as a race director in international FIS competitions in Italy and has been the FIS technical delegate in the ski jumping World Cup since 2002 . To date (as of 2019), Pertile has been used as a technical delegate over 100 times, including at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Pertile worked on the organizing committee of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val die Fiemme and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

From 2008 to 2013 he was Marketing Director in the Organizing Committee, responsible for marketing the World Cup in Predazzo and for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val die Fiemme.

From 2014 to 2018 he was Nordic Sports Director of the Italian Ski Federation.

Pertile is responsible for television broadcasting on the Organizing Committee of the Biathlon World Championships 2020 .

In June 2019 he was appointed FIS Race Director for men's ski jumping by the international ski association FIS from the 2020/2021 season. Pertile will be trained by the previous race director Walter Hofer in the 2019/2020 season.

Private

Pertile is a trained accountant and lives with his wife and two daughters in Predazzo , Italy.

He speaks Italian, English and German.

Sandro Pertile's father Piero and his brother Ivo Pertile were also ski jumpers.
