Sandy Ewen

Sandy Ewen (* 1985 in Toronto ) is a Canadian jazz and improvisation musician ( guitar , objects, composition ) who is also active as a visual artist and architect.

Live and act

Ewen began to experiment with guitar playing in 2002; from 2004 she played in the experimental rock band Weird Weeds . In 2008 she obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas, Austin . Since then she has lived in Houston, where she works as an architect alongside musical and artistic projects. She worked u. a. in a trio with Weasel Walter and Damon Smith and in a duo with Sam Newsome ; she also belongs to the formations Spiderwebs, Garden medium and Etched in the Eye . She lives in Houston.

Ewen plays the guitar lying down, using objects and effect techniques.
