Sandy King

Sandra Ann King (born March 8, 1952 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer and wife of filmmaker John Carpenter . She has produced most of his films since you were alive! from 1988.

She began her career in the film business in the mid-1970s as a script supervisor . In this role she worked on the 1980 western Long Riders , and four years later she was involved in a John Carpenter film with Starman for the first time . In 1986 she was the script supervisor for Big Trouble in Little China , and a year later she took on the same role on The Princes of Darkness . The last time she worked as a script supervisor was the film You Live! which also meant her debut as a producer.

As the producer of The Village of the Damned , she was nominated in 1996 for a Golden Raspberry for worst remake .
