Sandy Lake is a lake in the Kenora District of the Canadian province of Ontario , 250 km east of Lake Winnipeg .
The water area is 507 km², including the islands, the total area is 527 km². The lake is traversed by the Severn River in an easterly direction. On the shore lie the two Indian reservations Sandy Lake Indian Reserve 88 and Keewaywin Indian Reserve .
