Kong Sang-jeong ( Korean 공상 정 Hanja 孔尚貞 ; born June 22, 1996 in Chuncheon , Gangwon-do ) is a South Korean short tracker .

Kong is of Chinese-Korean descent and is the third generation to live in South Korea . Kong's grandfather is originally from Taiwan . Since she has the citizenship of the Republic of China (Taiwan) , she could not participate for South Korea in the Short Track Junior World Championship in Courmayeur in 2011 . After the revision of the citizenship law of South Korea in 2011, she was able to take on dual citizenship in December 2011. Kong won the gold medal with the South Korean relay at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Warsaw . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she won a gold medal with the relay over 3000 m.
