The Sanggan He ( 桑乾河  /  桑干河 , Sānggàn Hé ; Eng . "Sanggan River") is the upper reaches of the Yongding He , the largest tributary of the Hai He in China.

It flows into northwest Hebei and north Shanxi . Its name (literally: "Mulberry-dry river") comes from the fact that, according to tradition, it dries up every year when the mulberry ripe. The Cetian Reservoir (Cetian shuiku 册 田 水库 ) is located on its main stream .

Its total length is 506 km, it has a catchment area of ​​23,900 square kilometers. The main tributaries are Huliu He 壶 流 河 , Yu He 御河 , Yang He 洋河 and Hun He 浑河 .
