List of rivers in China

This is a list of Chinese rivers . The list also includes rivers that only partially run in China. The Chinese names are spelled in simplified characters and in pinyin .

There are more than 50,000 rivers in China whose catchment area is larger than 100 km 2 and 79 with individual catchment areas larger than 10,000 km 2 . The total length of the Chinese rivers is more than 430,000 km. 20 rivers are over 1000 km long.
