The Ulungur (or Urungu , Chinese 乌伦 古河 , Pinyin Wūlúngǔ Hé , in the upper reaches of Mongolia Bulgan Gol ) is a river in the Chinese Dzungaria (Uyghur Autonomous Region Xinjiang ), which rises on the southern slope of the Kok Churek Mountains , an eastern branch the Altai , in the western Mongolia in three source streams and flows in a southerly direction lakes Tsaghan-Nor and Tsi-tsik-Nor , then turns in a wide curve to the northwest and flows through (almost parallel to more than 50 kilometers north extending blacks Irtysch ) a barren area, until after a 600 km long run it flows into a 100 m wide estuary in the southeastern tip of the Ulungursee (today a separate lake, the Jili lake, when the water level is normal ).
The Ulungur is very rich in fish, but only in the lower course of fish barks and also used by them only at certain times.
