The Yurungkax , also Jurungkasch or White Jade River ( Chinese 白玉 河 , Pinyin Báiyù Hé - "Baiyu River", Uighur يورۇڭقاش دەرياسى), is the right source river of the Hotan in the south of the Xinjiang autonomous region in the southwest of the People's Republic of China .
The Yurungkax rises on the northern slope of the Kunlun Mountains near the border with Tibet . Initially it flows mainly in a westerly direction. Later the river turns north. It leaves the mountains, flows through the city of Hotan , located in the Tarim Basin , and meets the Karakax another 150 km north , with which it forms the Hotan. The river name means "white jade river".
