The Wu Jiang ( Chinese  烏江  /  乌江 , Pinyin Wū Jiāng ) is a right tributary of the Yangtze River . It has a southern and northern source, the southern is the Sancha He , the northern is the Liuchong He .

After the confluence, the river is initially called Yachi, only from Wujiangdu ( 乌江渡 ) in Zunyi County does it bear the name Wu Jiang. The source of the Sancha He is located in the western part of Guizhou Province in Weining County at the eastern foot of the Wumeng Shan Mountains . It flows through the north of Guizhou and the south of Chongqing , and in the area of Fuling it flows into the Yangtze . The Wu Jiang is over 1000 km long. The middle and lower reaches are navigable.

Its tributaries include Liuchong He ( 六 冲 河 ), Maotiao He ( 猫 跳河 ), Qingshui Jiang ( 清水 江 ), Xiang Jiang ( 湘江 ), Zhuo He ( 濯 河 ), Hongdu He ( 洪 渡河 ), Yu Jiang ( 郁江 ) and Furong Jiang ( 芙蓉江 ).
