The Xianshui He ( Chinese  鲜 水河 , English Xianshui River ) is a 680 km long river in the Chinese province of Sichuan .

It is a tributary of the Yalong Jiang (雅砻江). It has two source rivers - Daqu (达 曲) and Niqu (泥 曲) - which flow together from the northwest and north in Luhuo County (炉霍 县) (Zhaggo) of the Garzê Autonomous District of the Tibetans , from there the river bears the name Xianshui Hey . It flows through the southeast of Daofu County (道孚 县) (Dawu) and flows into Yalong Jiang in Yajiang County (雅 江 县) (Nyagquka or Nyagla). The Niuri He (纽 日 河) is one of its tributaries.

Earthquake area

Earthquakes occur frequently in the area of ​​the river , it is known as the "Xianshuihe earthquake area" ( 鲜 水河 地震 带 ) or the " Xianshuihe fault zone " ( 鲜 水河 断裂带 ).
