Chumar ( Tib . : chu dmar, "red water river", German also Tschhumar ) is a river in the west of the northwest Chinese province of Qinghai . It is a northern tributary of the Jinsha Jiang , into which it flows in Qumarlêb County .

Its upper course flows through the lake Dorgê Co (Tibetan for "stone lake">, in Chinese transcription 多 尔 改错 , Doergai Cho ), which in the west under its Mongolian name Elsen Nur or Öls Nuur (in Chinese as 叶 鲁苏 湖 , Yelusu Hu borrowed) known; another name of the lake is 错 仁德加 , Cuorendejia .
